One of my favorite fantasy books, written by Scott Lynch. It follows Locke Lamora and his gang of professional con artist in one of their scams. It is set in a world in the middle age / renaissance era. The books alternates between telling the main story and explaining the pasts of the members of the gang. No explicit material or anyting like that. If you like fantasy like Game of Thrones and such its worth checking out. It is the first book of an ongoing series.
So does it have fantasy elements like magic and dragons or is it strictly realistic? Sounds good anyways. Gonna give it a try at some point.
No dragons but it has magic and alchemy though the alchemy is more day to day stuff where it is used to make science stuff. Magic is strictly controlled by one guild and therefore not as usual.
